Ingredients

 

For the Manchurian Sauce:

 

  • ¾ Tsp. Dwaraka Organic Corn Flour
  • ¼ Tsp. Dwaraka Organic Black Pepper
  • ¼ Tsp. Dwaraka Organic Chilli Powder
  • 1 Tbsp. Dwaraka Organic Sunflower Oil
  • 1 Tbsp. Garlic, finely chopped 
  • ½ Tbsp. Ginger, finely chopped
  • ¼ Cup Spring Onions
  • ¼ Cup Capsicum
  • 1 Tsp. Soya Sauce
  • 1 Tbsp. Chilli Sauce
  • ½ Tbsp. Tomato Sauce
  • 1 Tsp. Vinegar
  • ½ Tsp. Sugar
  • ½ Cup water
  • Salt as per taste
  • Spring Onion Greens for garnishing      

 

Method

 

  • Boil 3 to 4 cups of water to a boil and add soya chunks. 
  • Let them rest for some time until they become tender.
  • Squeeze off the excess water from the chunks, rinse them well, and repeat the process to  remove excess water.
  • Now, in a mixing bowl add the Soya chunks along with salt, ginger garlic paste, chili powder, and corn flour. 
  • Mix well, and sprinkle a little bit of water if needed for the flour to bind the chunks.
  • Once done, set aside for 10 mins.
  • Now, in a kadai, heat some oil and fry garlic, onions, and capsicum for sauce on medium heat until golden and crisp.
  • Once done, wrap them in a kitchen tissue and set aside. 

Making soya chunks Manchurian sauce

  • Mix some corn flour and water in a bowl and make sure not to have any lumps. 
  • Once done, set aside.
  • Now, heat some oil in a pan.
  • Once the oil gets heated, add garlic and sauté for a minute. 
  • Next up, add spring onions and sauté on a high flame for about a minute. 
  • After that, add capsicum and sauté for about a couple of minutes until the aroma comes out.
  • Once that is done, add the soya sauce, vinegar, chili sauce, and tomato sauce.
  • Keep stirring well. 
  • Reduce the heat and stir well. 
  • Cook until the sauce thickens, and make sure the sauce tastes slightly sour, sweet, and hot.
  • Once done, add black pepper and mix well.
  • Allow the sauce to cool down for some time. 
  • Next up, add the crispy fried soya chunks and mix well.
  • Garnish Soya Chunks Manchurian with spring onions.
  • Serve it hot with rice.
