Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp Dwaraka Organic Coconut Oil
  •  4 Dwaraka Organic Red Chilli Whole Stemless
  •  1 Dwaraka Organic Cinnamon Stick
  •  1 tbsp Dwaraka Organic Urad Dal
  •  1 tbsp Dwaraka Organic Cumin Whole
  •  1 tbsp Dwaraka Organic Chana Dal
  •  2 tbsp Dwaraka Organic Coriander Whole
  •  ½ tbsp Dwaraka Organic Turmeric Powder
  •  ¼ cup Dry Coconut (Grated)
  •  ¼ cup French Beans Finely Chopped
  •  ¼ cup Carrots Finely Chopped
  •  ½ cup Potatoes Finely Chopped
  •  ½ cup Capsicum Finely Chopped
  •  ¼ cup Shallots
  •  57 Curry Leaves
  •  1 cup Raw Rice
  •  2 tbsp Tamarind Pulp
  •  1 tbsp Ghee
  •  Salt as per taste

Method

  1. Heat the Coconut Oil in a pan.
  2. Add all the ingredients without the veggies and rice, saute for about 5 minutes until golden brown, and keep stirring.
  3. When it all cools down, blend in a mixer to a fine powder and keep aside.
  4. Wash and clean the rice and soak them for about 2 hours.
  5. Drain the water and keep the rice aside.
  6. Take a deep pan and add the Chana Dal, Urad Dal, Turmeric Powder, Coconut Oil, Salt, and 6 cups of water.
  7. Mix them well and cook for about a good 10 to 12 minutes.
  8. Add the Rice, French Beans, Carrots, Potatoes, Shallots, and Capsicum.
  9. Cook for another 10 to 12 minutes on medium flame after mixing well.
  10. Once the Rice and Dal are cooked well, add the prepared masala along with the Curry Leaves and Tamarind Pulp.
  11. Mix them gently and, cover, and cook on low flame for about 5 minutes
  12. Finally, add the ghee and serve it piping hot.
