Method

Dough
1.Sieve the whole wheat Flour, maida flour, baking soda, and salt together.
2.Mix ajwain with the rest of the sieved flours.
3.Add oil and water and start kneading the dough.
4.Knead until the dough is soft but firm.
Making the Namak Para
5.Take medium-sized balls from the dough and roll them on a dusted flour.
6.Roll into a disc neither too thin nor too thick.
7.With a knife make criss-cross patterns on the rolled dough.
8.Remove the diamond-shaped patterns and deep fry them in hot oil till crisp and golden.
9.Drain them on paper napkins to remove excess oil.
10.Once they cool down, serve as a snack with tea or coffee.
